Biography

Born and raised in the Dallas Metroplex. My love for traveling and the outdoors was instilled by my family’s camping road trips to Colorado. After high school, I lived for five years in Austin while studying at The University of Texas. Hook ’em! Upon graduating, I moved to work for an investment firm in Charlotte. I’ve lived here now for four years, enjoying the blend of urban and southern lifestyles and access to both mountains and beaches.

2/2020: Visited my 34th and 35 states (Montana and Idaho) on a ski trip, which finally made me eligible for Associate membership. I achieved this feat of 35 states before turning 25. I would LOVE to hit all 50 before turning 30 (how would THAT look on a certificate??)

5/2020: Visited my 36th state (Arizona) on a cross-country road trip. Camped at Lake Powell and visited Horseshoe Bend and the Vermilion Cliffs.

11/2020: Visited both Dakotas and Nebraska (states 37-39).

9/2021: 9-day road trip up the east coast from Charlotte to Maine and back, checking off Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Vermont (states 40-42).

11/2021: Weekend trip to Iowa (state 43) for a UT @ Iowa State football game, also exploring Des Moines and the Driftless region.

9/2022: 4-day road trip to Cincinnati, OH (state 44) to see Charlotte FC play there away. Crossed over to Indiana for a breakfast (state 45).

10/2022 – 3-day trip across western Utah and eastern Nevada (state 46), including climbing Wheeler Peak in Great Basin NP.

US Extremities: Southernmost tip of continental US (Key West, Florida 1/2020)

In addition to my domestic adventures, I have visited 11 countries (Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France | Costa Rica, Bahamas | Japan, Thailand, Cambodia) as well as DC and the US Virgin Islands.
