Pal's Sudden Service - an East Tennessee original
Make each food stop an experience! Often, on road trips, there isn't time to stop at a sit-down restaurant; you need something fast and use the restroom! While McDonald's may be found at every exit (40,000+ locations worldwide), try a fast-food restaurant unique to each state or region.
This list started from an article by Food and Wine. We created a shortcut list listing the restaurants without the details and made a few changes based on our experience. After feedback on social media and by club members, restaurants were removed, and many were added. To be included, it must be "fast food" that you order at the counter or drive-through. There must be multiple locations and it must serve meals - ice cream and donuts will be for another list. Pizza restaurants were tough, as pizza often takes a little while to make, but some restaurants can churn out a pizza quite quickly, so they remained on the list.
