What is the Mission of the All Fifty Club?
The All Fifty Club helps travelers track, share, and celebrate the incredible accomplishment of visiting all 50 U.S. states. The USA is filled with breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cities, and diverse cultures—it’s truly America the Beautiful. Only 1-2% of Americans complete this travel milestone. The Club includes members from all 50 states and all around the world. Our membership includes students & retirees, campers & luxury travelers, solo adventurers & families, history lovers & marathon runners. Some race through all 50 in days, others take a lifetime. The All Fifty Club is excited to celebrate each unique, one-of-a-kind, 50-state journey!
HI! My name is Alicia Rovey, and I’m the President and Founder of the All Fifty Club. I started the club in 2006 because I’ve always loved the goal of visiting all 50 states!
My journey began at age 9 with a handmade U.S. map. I excitedly colored in the states I visited with family and friends, and by age 27, I had been to 46 states. A decade later, I had just added one more state. With young kids and a busy career, the goal was temporarily put on hold. However, I couldn’t stop my passion for wanting to go to all 50. So in 2006, I searched online to find others with the same goal, but couldn’t find a community. So, I created one by launching a website, and the All Fifty Club was born.
For the next nine years, I lived vicariously through our members, celebrating their accomplishments and sending out completion certificates. It brought me so much joy to recognize and cheer on others as they achieved their 50 state goal. Along the way, the club was featured in The Washington Post and USA Today Travel and began to grow.
I finally became a 50 Stater myself before I turned 50 via a family reunion cruise that took me to Alaska, followed by visits to Washington and, at last, Oregon—my final state.
Whether you’re just starting your journey or just have a few states to go, I hope the All Fifty Club encourages and motivates you. We’re here to cheer you on and celebrate when you cross that final state line.
