State Sign Tips

 

 

The elusive State Sign Selfie! Capturing crossing a state line by a state sign is harder than one would think! We scour the internet and look to All Fifty Club members to provide tips on the best sign opportunities in each state.  If you have some to add, please let us know!

Overall recommendations

  • Welcome Centers often have replicas of the highway signs or other great photo opportunities with the state name

  • First Rest Areas across the state line often has a state sign

  • Google Maps has state sign locations. Search for "State X Welcome Sign"Take a screen shot of your phone as you cross the line.

  • Some GPS systems say "Welcome to State X" when you are crossing the line.

  • Don't risk your life for a photo!!  Getting off may not be too bad, but getting back on could be dangerous!
