Memorable Travel Experience(s)
1. Missing my connection in Ankara, Turkey and had to get a visa just to get out of the airport to stay in a hotel overnight
2. Lost luggage in Budapest, Hungary. Luggage showed up 12 hours later, after insurance paid for replacement clothes, etc
3. Being singled out for thorough inspection in Austria, a few months after 9/11, because I had a "full beard and might be looking suspicious"
4. Plane ride in the Philippines servicing a small airport flying just above the treeline.
