Temecula, CA Southern California wine country. Unlike other regular agriculture areas in the country, we farm avocados, citrus and of course grapes. With something like 100+ wineries, it would take you months to taste all the fine wines. We are located about 50 miles from downtown San Diego at the San Diego and Riverside County lines. Our climate is not continental like most of the country but from trade winds. If you look at a map of California, you will see a bend in the southern portion, this is called point conception where the weather changes from continental climate. The weather is quite different south of the break. Winter temperatures can be in the 90s, no one else can claim that. Generally, the days are mild with clear cool nights.
