Biography
I am retired and have a blog – www.retiredandinspiredat55.com – in which I write about my experiences in retirement. I am also an avid disc golfer, cyclist and craft beer enthusiast.
In June 2026 a friend and I (both craft beer enthusiasts) started a YouTube channel called Steve’s Garage Bar: https://www.youtube.com/@StevesGarageBar We try a beer we’ve never had, discuss it and bust on each other in segments running approx. 5 min long.
I achieved the 50 state mark in 2017 in Oregon with my wife. Through travel with my parents as a kid and work travel I got to almost 40 states. When I realized how many states I had been to the quest was on to get all 50. North Dakota and Oklahoma were the toughest to get to due to travel logistics.

Playing disc golf in 2 states during the same round - Fargo, ND course that crossed the Red River into Minnesota for a few holes
Biking down Haleakala after watching the sunrise at the summit
Biking across the White Pass from Canada back into Skagway Alaska - got a passport stamp at the border
