Memorable Travel Experience(s)
1. South Dakota: I hiked to the arm of Crazy Horse Memorial (twice). We did a 10k hike around Devil's Tower National Monument and Prairie Dog Town.
2. Washington, D.C.: We visited multiple museums, did a 17 km walk throughout the National Mall and downtown streets.
3. Yellowstone National Park: We have visited this park numerous times to camp and hike. Our hikes included numerous waterfalls, geysers, and the top of Mount Washburn.
4. I walked all 51 capitals and toured the inside of most of them. We learned so much history. I will never take our country for granted. Long live democracy!
And, because I can't limit memorable travel experiences to four...
5. Kona, Hawaii: My parents' dream was to travel to Hawaii. We made their dream come true before my dad passed away. He was able to have dialysis three times during the week we were there. I'm so thankful we were able to give them that experience!!
6. Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona: My mom wanted to hike the national parks in these states for her 80th birthday in March. I planned a three-week trip for my mom, my sister, and me. We started and ended in Las Vegas. It was more than we could have hoped for. We laughed, we cried, Mom had severe back pain during part of the trip, and we hiked in snow in Bryce Canyon National Park. What a trip!
