The second annual All Fifty Club Convention was held in Richmond, Virginia on September 27th, 2025. It was a great gathering of travelers from across the country and the world!
Founder and President Alicia Rovey shared the latest All Fifty Club news and recent travel accomplishments.
Attendees were grouped by Solo Travel, Family Travel, National Parks, Capitols, and Roadside Attractions and spent the day sharing travel experiences, discussing future travels, and exchanging travel tips.
Verenda Camire welcomed the group to the Commonwealth of Virginia by sharing its history and highlighting top attractions in Richmond and the state of Virginia.
Mickey Straub spoke about his legendary trip to 50 Capitols in 50 Days, on which he recited the Gettysburg Address at each Capitol as he traveled across the country in a Lincoln Towncar! He is the author of Big Goals, Short Deadlines - Success Strategies Inspired by One Man's Trip to 50 Capitols in 50 Days.
Teresa Hanula and her traveling dog companion, Leonard Lee, Harley and Mark Hudson and Joseph Collins, shared their experiences and tips for traveling across the country with pets. Thank you to NGage (high-quality dog toys) for being a convention sponsor!
Chris Hulse grabbed the attention of attendees by sharing Off the Beaten Path destinations: St. Thomas, NV, Lebanon, KS, the Trinity Test Site, NM, Point Roberts, WA, Mackinac Bridge Walk, MI, Neon Boneyard and Museum, Las Vegas, NV, Blockbuster in Bend, OR, Kool-Aid Man Days, and Headwaters of the Mississippi River.
Agnes Judge was recognized for Traveling for a Cause. As a breast cancer survivor herself, she visited cancer centers in all 50 states, encouraging others going through cancer treatment.
Al Whitney is another Traveling for a Cause traveler. He is currently on his THIRD tour of donating platelets in every state.
Chris McKay was honored for his Epic Trip, which he took in 2024, All 50 in 50 Days - including up the coast of California.
Gary Flanagan was presented with a plaque for visiting all of the 104 past and present state capitals across the USA.
Stan Wiebe was awarded the Earliest completer in the room. He finished his 50-state journey in 1987. Stan continues to blog about his travels as The Drive By Tourist.
Charles Dean and Deborah Archer have visited an unbelievable number of National Park Sites. Deborah has visited over 400, and Charles has visited over 383.
11-year-old Nicholas Donaldson was the Youngest in attendance and the Youngest to complete all 50. He went to All 50 before he turned 5!
Sevan Poetry shared a video on strategies for funding travels. Hundreds of ideas!
Lisa Parrish visited her 50th state just a week before the Convention! Other 2025 completers were Agnes Judge, Marielle Dupaquier, and Paul Bovarnick.
Who Traveled the Farthest to the Convention?
This year we had multiple winners! Bob Rotheram traveled all the way from Nottingham, UK. Mark and Harley Hudson recently moved to the Oregon Coast, and Patty and David Bishop traveled from Southern California.
