Biography
My dad had 5 weeks of vacation every year, and 3 were usually taken in the summer. I went on a lot of trips including driving up the coast to Canada from California, going to the Grand Canyon, driving across Canada and down through Glacier National Park to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore. After leaving home, I played in bands for the next 25 years. Crossed the country 3 times, going through the South, Midwest, and East Coast. After getting off the road with music, I realized I had 5 states remaining. I had a friend in Hawaii, so I visited her. Then 3 years ago, I went on an Alaskan cruise. So 3 states remained. I finally decided this year to complete my journey and planned a trip to Boston so I could finish the last 3. I just got back last week, having driven through Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Along the way, I visited Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame and Springfield, Mass., home of the NBA Hall of Fame. I, also, went to some baseball games at Fenway Park which was on my bucket list. I feel honored and blessed to be a member of the 50 States club. Looking forward to sharing my stories and hearing the stories of others.
