Biography

After stumbling across the Montana state capitol in August 2019 while killing some time, we took a selfie which we rarely did before.   In 2020 during some college visits with our daughter to  Des Moines , IA and Olympia, WA we made a comment that we should take a selfie in front of every state capitol.  It would most likely be retirement goal that we would take several years to complete.   COVID hit after that and after several months of doing nothing, we decided not to wait to do our goal.  We planned and made several trips to accomplish our goal.  We visited our last state , Alaska the first weekend in October.     We are taking the whole family to Honolulu in May 2022 to celebrate the accomplishment.   Although we have been to Hawaii once before we still lack that selfie at that capitol.  That will be our last one.    There are a lot of stories and memories from this journey and we cherish the time we were able to spend together bonding and accomplishing this goal.
