Biography
Hello all ๐ I have always been a wanderer. I lived in Oregon for 30 years, 6 in New Jersey, and 12 in California. I had the chance to visit much of the East Coast, and all 3 states on the West Coast by the time I was 19. However, I had never been in the middle or down South or to much of New England. In 2020, I lost both my parents whom I was very close with, and I was trying to figure out what to do. In December 2020, during the height of the pandemic, my very good friend told me she had to get to Mississippi and I offered to take her. That was the beginnning of 3 cross country trips in which I went to all 48 lower states. That first trip took me south to California via i5, to i10, then to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, andย Mississippi, with a day trip to Florida. I then headed for home stopping in Alabama, (somwhere in here caught i40), Tennessee, Arkansas, Oaklhoma, (sp?), back through Texas, NM, AZ, NV, CA and home. In 2021, I decided to do a 2nd trip and drive the full length of i80, so in April took off and went to CA, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and Deleware. I popped up to New York, circled back and went south to Maryland, WDC, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. I headed home and caught TN and NC again, but touched into Kentucky, IN, and then headed west, into Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, WY, UT, Idaho, and back home. I had kept the travel bug and made my last trip across the US. I decided to take Hwy/US Route 20, which runs from Newport Oregon to Boston Massachusetts. In April I left Oregon, went to ID, Montana, down to WY, NE, Iowa, IL, OH, and then dipped down into West Virginia, up thru PA and NY, to Massachusetts, went up into New England, visited New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, doubled back and caught Rhode Island, and Conneticut. I started back across NY toward Michigan, but didn’t want to have to back track, so decided to go through Canada. (thank goodness I had gotten my passport on a whim a couple of years ago.). From Michigan, dropped briefly down into IN and IL again, but went up to Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and hit my 48th state early May of this year, Soth Dakota. I loved my trips so much but I fell in love with Wyoming, so in May took a quick trip back, found a place to rent, took a couple days to rest, and then moved here June 1st. I only have Alaska a Hawaii to go, and it’s definitely in the near future.
